Prof. Kecheng Liu, The University of Reading, UK


Biography: Kecheng Liu, Fellow of British Computer Society and Senior Fellow of Higher Education Academy, is Professor of Applied Informatics at University of Reading, and also serves as Director of Digital Talent Academy in Henley Business School. In his various roles of academic lead, senior advisor and consultant, his industrial projects and business consulting experience spread in areas of business and IT strategies, information management, and digital leadership and transformation in public and private sectors. As a prominent researcher, he has published 300 papers in journals and conferences and 25 books in organisational semiotics, business and IT strategy alignment, intelligent spaces for working and living, and business informatics (e.g. big data analytics and AI for healthcare). He has extensive experience in management and leadership from the research project and centre, school to university level where he has been responsible for various aspects such as academic development, staffing, student experience, collaboration and outreach, strategic planning and execution in UK, Europe, China and beyond.

 

Prof. Yanqing Duan, University of Bedfordshire, UK

 

Biography: Yanqing (Yan) Duan (BSc, MSc, PhD, SFHEA) is a full Professor of Information Systems and founder and director of Business and Information Systems Research Centre (BISC) at the Business School, University of Bedfordshire. Her principal research interest is the development and use of emerging ICTs (e.g. AI, Big Data, IoT and analytics) and their impact on organisational performance, decision making, and knowledge management. She is a regular expert evaluator for various major funding bodies. Professor Duan has led and participated in many research projects on digital transformation and digital agriculture and aquaculture in collaboration with international, European, and UK partners. She has received many research grants from various funding sources, such as: European Commission, Innovate UK, UK Department For International Development (DFID), BBSRC, JISC, British Council, etc. She is an associated editor for International Journal of Information Management and Decision Support System. She has published over 250 peer reviewed articles including papers in European Journal of Operational Research, European Journal Information Systems, European Journal of Marketing, IEEE transaction on Engineering Management, Information & Management, The Information Society, Journal of Business Research, Industrial Marketing Management, Technovation, Information Technology and People.

 

Prof. Carin Chuang, Purdue University Northwest, USA

 

Biography: Dr. Carin Chuang is a Professor of Management Information Systems at Purdue University Northwest. She received her Ph.D. from Purdue University West Lafayette and her M.Sc. from Michigan State University. She served as the Faculty Fellow of Graduate Studies from 2019 to 2022. Dr. Chuang’s teaching focuses on ERP (enterprise resource planning) implementation, systems analysis and design, data analytics and visualization, spreadsheet modeling, and e-business strategy. Dr. Chuang was awarded the 2015 Outstanding Teacher Award, the 2018 Teaching Innovation Award, the 2019 Teaching Incentive Award, and the 2021 Teddy Jacobi Scholar Award including numerous research grant awards. Dr. Chuang’s research interests focus on technology management, project management, service learning, data analytics, system modeling and development, and enterprise information system implementation issues that challenge business organizations. Prior to joining academia, Dr. Chuang had 13+ years of industry experience working in well-known Fortune 500 organizations.
